Leasing rates are at an all-time post-recession
high, approaching 30-percent penetration of all vehicles bought in 2013. This
article speaks to what the industry and dealerships are doing to attract women
toward leasing.
Certified pre-owned sales remained consistent with
trends seen throughout this year as the European OEMs once again recorded
increases across the board, and one OEM has already reached above 2012 full-year
sales results.
As Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced the Canadian government had reached a
free trade agreement with the European Union late last week, many of Canada’s
OEMs and manufacturers were already reacting positively to the move.
After falling by 0.5 percent in August, it seems
used-car prices are headed up again in Canada, albeit at a much slower pace than
seen earlier this year.
Though the end of summer brought a respite from the
spiking wholesale prices that dealers have suffered all year, it seems rates are
on the upswing once again.
